Martine Nates

Martine Nates is an experienced and well-respected acupuncturist with more than 25 years clinical practice.  She is known for her unconditional commitment to each and every patient as she supports them on their journey to sustained physical health and mental balance.

Following the initial in-depth diagnostic session, individual treatments will typically include a combination of acupuncture, tuina massage, cupping, dietary advice and mindfulness exercises. Chinese herbal medicine can be prescribed to support acute and chronic conditions. This truly holistic approach is supported by her extensive knowledge of health and stress management which she freely shares with her patients so that they can take control of their healing and vitality.

In addition to her foundation qualification in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), she has completed post-graduate training to obtain diplomas in treating:

  • Male and female fertility,
  • Conditions arising during pregnancy,
  • Musculo-skeletal injuries and pain,
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Paediatrics (from 6 months – 12 years)
  • Addictions: including smoking and alcohol cessation,
  • Anxiety, sleep disorder and stress related conditions.

Martine Nates has developed and delivered a hands-on Acupressure in Childbirth program for expectant mothers and their partners. The practical 2½ hour workshop enables couples to use age-old pain relief techniques to support natural childbirth.

Stress is at the root of many conditions which Martine addresses using Mindfulness and meditation. Having completed a 3-year diploma program at Bangor University, she is certified to teach Jon Kabat-zin’s internationally recognised Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR). The 8-week meditation program is available to the general public or corporate clients in person or online.

Martine offers free 20-minute preliminary consultations – please email her at Martine@nates.co.uk to book a call.

Empowering Individuals with Neurodevelopmental Support

The Neurodevelopmental Service at Chase Lodge Hospital comprises highly experienced professionals, including Consultant Paediatricians, Consultant Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Psychologists, with extensive experience in diagnosing neurodevelopmental conditions within the private sector and NHS.
