Dr. Carolyn Webber

Dr. Carolyn Webber, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, brings over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents in both the NHS and private sector. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Dr. Webber completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of London and trained in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, finishing in 1994. After qualifying, she began her career at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. There, she focused on helping children with learning disabilities and supporting their families while also handling general cases in primary care services.

In 2003, Dr. Carolyn Webber transitioned to Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey Mental Health Trust, working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for 15 years. During this period, she supported children and young people facing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.

Her expertise covers anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep and eating difficulties, behavioral issues, social communication problems, ADHD, and family relationship concerns such as divorce and bereavement. Dr. Webber also offers therapeutic services for adults and couples, utilizing various models such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). She uses these techniques to help children with attachment difficulties and to guide their foster carers or adoptive parents.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Webber leads courses, groups, and training sessions for parents, adopters, and foster carers. She specializes in parenting techniques and attachment-related topics. Dr. Carolyn Webber is also a seasoned supervisor, mentoring clinical psychologists, trainees, and other mental health professionals.
